The 2012 version takes its cues from the original but adapts it to a modern wardrobe.

It’s red, but less vividly so.

It’s best-quality Italian Cotton, naturally, but with a softer handle.

It has an extreme cutaway collar like its predecessor, but one that’s less – how can we put this? – pyjama-like. You could actually fasten it if you preferred.

And while the original was a bit Roberto Baggio, ours recalls its characteristic “blousiness” with two pleats at the back shoulder seam rather than actually being at all blouse-like itself.

The buttoned cuffs enjoy ornate aspects, much like the original.

Overall it’s just the thing for the modern leader of men.
